Dr. Watson Debugger

Dr. Watson debugger is a screen that is shown in front of the user when there some software of specific software that has caused some error. If you are familiar with assembly language or know a little about that, you should know that there are some value of every program that are being stored in registers, stacks and segments. They have to be accurate when you are switching from one process to another. However, when programs switch and they do some processing, there are some possibilities of getting the values courted. If this occurs, the program might crash and Dr. Watson Debugger screen is shown.

This tells you that some error has occurred in the system and you have to send this error report to the publisher or ask for help. In some way or the other, this happens to be a good way of terminating a program that is malfunctioning. However, when this is shown again and again on the screen, then the users get annoyed with this message.

People start thinking that there is some problem with their operating system or some virus is attacking the computer. This may be due to some virus, but this could also be the result of software not working properly in an organized manner. There are ways with which you can disable Dr. Watson Debugger can be disabled. If you want to disable the debugger, and then keep in mind that the bad function that the program is causing will not be stopped, it will just not show the Dr Watson Debugger window.

On the Microsoft online help center, you can find ways to disable the debugger. If you are not a programmer, this is recommended that you should not try to debug the program. If you do something wrong, then this might cause some problems that are not solve able. So it is good to keep yourself away from the debugger.

In new version of windows like vista, this debugger is disabled by default. Just press the F1 key on the desktop and search for Dr Watson Debugger and you will find how and why this debugger was disabled and how it is changed with new settings on newer versions. Same is the case with windows 7. So this means that the tradition of Dr Watson Debugger was limited to windows XP and if you really want to get rid of this problem, you can change your operating system.
