Win32 Generic Host
In windows xp, a number of people have faced and they are still facing Win32 Generic Host error. The first reason is that your computer is filled with much kind of viruses that is infecting the computer and one virus is getting over another’s configurations that create even more complexities and as a result Win32 Generic Host error occurs.
So the first thing that you should do is to scan your computer thoroughly for viruses. This is not necessary that you format all of your hard disk and start a fresh copy of windows, but you can also overwrite the existing version of windows. If you have just installed some update from windows’ server, this could also be the reason that the update does not match the system requirements or the software that is previously installed in your computer conflicted with that update. This most probably happens in windows xp service pack 2.
That last reason of win32 generic host error is that you have installed some old driver of the hardware issues by hp and those drivers are not computable with the new version of svchost.exe. So, search for the new drivers and the problem might get solved.
